This is the area where English Heritage is proposing to site a visitor drop-off point for the Stonehenge World Heritage Site. Details have not yet been made available, but could well include hardened vehicular access, paved areas and perhaps shelter. The present trackway and trees have been in place for hundreds of years, the barrows for much longer. To destroy this wonderful setting would be a violation.
